Its striking buildings, formidable galleries and treasure-crammed churches attest to the Florentine love of display. Its elegant appearance, its skyline, with its russet rooftops and lofty domes, contributed to give this city, its role of important center for culture and arts. Between the cocktail reception and the farewell dinner in a local restaurant, you will enjoy wine tastings in addition to all the breathtaking offerings of Florence.

Day 1: Depart the U.S: From New York (JFK) or Newark airport via Delta Airlines for Florence, Italy.

Day 2: Florence: Arrive in Florence and upon arrival, proceed to baggage claim area. After clearing customs, exit the airport and meet our guide and driver. Board our deluxe motor coach for a city orientation bus tour to see firsthand Florence’s breathtaking views and architecture. After checking into our hotel, the remainder of the afternoon is at our leisure. Tonight includes a welcome cocktail party with a variety of florentine Flavor.Arrive in Florence and upon arrival, proceed to baggage claim area. Day 3: Florence: After breakfast today, enjoy a guided half-day walking tour of Florence. See the Duomo, the city’s geographical and focus point, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery. The exterior of the basilica is faced with polychrome marble panels in various shades of green and pink bordered by white and has an elaborate 19th century Gothic Revival facade by Emilio De Fabris. Stop in Piazza della Signoria, the political heart of the city and known for its Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon to explore the city on your own or to stop at one of the many quaint shops atop the oldest bridge, Ponte Vecchio.

Day 4: Florence: During the morning you will depart for a Tuscan landscape excursion of the Chianti region. The beauty of this territory, known for its wineries, lies in the perfect equilibrium between the soft forms of slopes and the thousand nuances of color and the crowded woods populated by ancient castles, secular parishes and beautiful villas. The Chianti Classico region covers an area of approximate 100 square miles. Within the collective Chianti region more than 8 million cases of wines classified as DOC level or above are produced each year. Today, most Chianti falls under two major designations of Chianti which includes the basic level Chianti, as well as that from seven designated sub-zones, and Chianti Classico. Enjoy a wine tasting followed by a light lunch. Tonight dinner is at the hotel. (Breakfast, Light Lunch, Dinner)

Day 5: Florence: Today is a day of leisure to explore and enjoy the one of the most culturely rich cities in Europe, if not in the world. An optional tour to Siena and San Gimignano will be offered. Highlights include famous medieval architecture, especially its towers, which may be seen from several kilometers outside the town. The heart of the town contains the four squares, Piazza della Cisterna, Piazza Duomo where the Collegiata is located, Piazza Pecori, and Piazza delle Erbe. This local town is also known for the white wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano, grown in the area.

Day 6: Florence: Today is a day we explore with a local licensed guide at the Ufizi Gallery or either the Academy of Fine Arts. The rest of the afternoon is free for any remaining shopping, additional sightseeing or to relax before your farewell dinner at a local Tuscan restaurant where wine will be included. Florence is often considered the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance; in fact, it has been called the Athens of the Middle Ages. This great city is arguably the last preserved Renaissance city in the world and is regarded by many as the art capital of Italy

Day 7: Florence: Depart for the airport for your return flight home. (Breakfast)
