How long have you been in business and how many clients travel with you each year?
Club ABC Tours has been in business since 1966, ABC Destinations has been in business 6 years. We have had more than half a million people travel with us since our beginning.
Who owns Club ABC Tours and ABC Destinations?
We are a family business. Louis and Nina Kronenberg started the business in 1966 and now their sons, Robert and Tom Paris own and operate the company. We have 50 dedicated travel professionals based at our Bloomfield New Jersey Headquarters. We also have offices in Rome, Paris and Surrey UK.
What is the minimum and maximum size for groups?
In order to customize a group, we need a minimum of sixteen travelers. We use various means of transportation in each country and we accommodate our travelers on comfortable air-conditioned vehicles and it well depend on the capacity of those vehicles for group maximum.
Can you arrange for pre and post extensions?
Our group travel department can assist you with any pre or post extensions with hotels. We can also assist with any sightseeing excursions.
How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
Transfers are included on group flights from the airport to the hotel at the beginning and end of each program.
How do I obtain a passport and or visa?
A valid passport is required for travel outside of the United States. You may use any number of reputable passport agencies however it is the travelers’ responsibility to refer to http://travel.state.gov for detailed information on what is required and all costs associated with obtaining the documents.
Can I book my own airfare?
All of our programs have airfare included in the quoted price, usually from New York or Chicago. We can certainly add another city or if you prefer to book your own air, we can offer an air credit which would be calculated on a trip by trip basis.
How should I pack?
ABC Destination programs are vacations. Attire should be casual and comfortable with appropriate walking shoes. Dinners are often in hotel dining rooms or charming restaurants and business casual is suggested. It is important to adhere to the rule of one suitcase per traveler on trips. You may also bring one carry-on per person. Baggage handling begins curbside at the airport upon arrival. You will be responsible for any additional baggage charges imposed by the airline.
Do I need to purchase trip insurance?
We strongly encourage all of our travelers to purchase trip protection. We offer Trip Mate Insurance, which can be purchased for a minimal cost. Click here for more details.
Can you handle special Dietary Needs?
We make every effort to accommodate any special dietary needs and will need to be made aware of this at time of booking.
Are tips and gratuities included?
Tips to waiters, chambermaids and Tour Managers, local guides and drivers are not included and are at the complete discretion of each traveler. However, a suggested guideline:
- Euro 1.00 per person/per day for waiters and chambermaids
- Euro 2.00 per person/per day for drivers and local guides
- Euro 3.00 per person/per day for your Tour Manager.
What are the payment options?
ABC Destinations accepts checks, money orders, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
Please note that your credit card statement will be billed by ABD Destinations.
What is a fuel surcharge?
Fuel surcharges imposed by the airlines are valid at time of trip proposal and included in the price of the tour. If fuel charges change prior to trip departure, you may be assessed an additional amount.
Are there additional taxes?
The tour price does not include airport taxes, government fees, September 11th security fees, departure taxes or cruise port taxes. These taxes must be paid directly to local authorities.
When will I receive an invoice?
An invoice is generated immediately after a deposit is received and can be emailed to you the day of deposit. If no email address exists, ABC Destinations can mail you the invoice.
When will I receive final documents?
Final documents will be sent no later than 21 days prior to departure.
What do I do in case I miss my flight or it is delayed in meeting my group?
ABC Destinations has a 24 hour, seven day a week, emergency contact phone number. In case of missed or cancelled flights prior to meeting up with group, please call 201 738-6990.
